accounts assistant 2-3 days per week

 

Location: Flexibility between Home and Witham Office

 

About the Role

This is a part-time role to support the Accounts Manager based in our Witham office, providing exceptional support to the team and clients by ensuring the smooth running of finance activity.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculating money owed, including any interest or late fee, producing, and sending debit notes for payment.
  • Monitoring bank accounts for incoming payments from Brokers and allocating accordingly.
  • Reviewing statements from Insurers and making relevant payments. 
  • Chasing brokers via phone and email for due and overdue premiums and submitting overdue payment statistics to the Accounts Manager.
  • Producing and issuing monthly statements to brokers
  • Countersigning bank account reconciliation
About you
  • You will have exceptional attention to detail and be passionate about delivering exceptional service.
  • You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
  • You will have experience working with Microsoft Excel and database systems and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
  • Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
  • The ability to think outside of the existing processes, and the confidence to provide suggestions of how to improve and streamline activities.
