Location: London, with the flexibility to work from home


Job Purpose

Due to business growth, there is an opportunity for a dynamic candidate with experience in Wholesale Broker Management or similar. You will be responsible for remotely maintaining a panel of existing relationships with Brokers and developing new accounts. This is an office/home based role with limited requirement for travel.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop existing and new profitable Brokers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Implement effective sales planning and performance monitoring for all Brokers
  • Introduce all relevant SRG products and services to Brokers as appropriate
  • Develop initiatives, liaising with Brokers, directors/placing brokers, company market and broking teams
  • Plan and prioritise personal business liaison activities and broker contact towards achieving agreed business targets, including costs and sales – especially managing personal time and productivity
  • Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, e.g. product launches, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships

About You 
  • You will ideally have experience in account management or business development specifically with London Market wholesale accounts and Brokers. Candidates with experience new business account handling could be considered.
  • You will be CII qualified or willing to study towards qualification with the Company’s support.
  • You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with and influence the decision making of a portfolio of clients and insurers.
  • The role requires self-motivation, confidence, and ambition to deliver success.
  • You will have experience working with Microsoft Excel and database systems and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
