CLAIMS TECHNICIAN 

Location: London, with the flexibility to work from home

 

Job Purpose

This role provides detailed, effective support across a wide variety of tasks within the Claims department, predominantly focusing on handling Property and Liability claims across Ireland and the rest of Europe. You will build strong working relationships with Insurers and Brokers within Europe and ensure a high level of service is maintained. This is a busy role that requires exceptional organisation skills and the ability to work autonomously.

 

Key Responsibilities

This is a new role to the department and therefore it is expected that you will seek to provide the support required by the team and develop the role over time.

  • Presenting claims to Insurers via email and ECF
  • Corresponding with solicitors, loss adjustors and Brokers to discuss new and outstanding claims
  • Registering claims and First Notice Of Loss “FNOL”
  • Day to day handling of Irish Property & Casualty claims
  • Preparation and presentation of claims bordereaux
  • Providing support and back up to the Claims team of six colleagues
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks that may be required from time to time

About You 
  • This is the ideal role for someone looking for their first step into a Claims role. On the job training and support will be provided.
  • You will be exceptionally organised, inquisitive, and excited to learn and progress your career.
  • You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with a portfolio of Brokers and Insurers.
  • You will have a level of experience working with Microsoft systems, including Word and Excel, and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
